And Then Came Lola
Megan Siler and Ellen Seidler 2009
Categories: Feature film, Women's film
Run time: 70 min. | US
Lola may be a lot of things, but ready to settle down isn’t one of them. Or is it? She’s also late — very late. Set in the style of Run Lola Run, the film is a time-bending tale of trying to do the right thing, which in Lola’s case means trying to save a job – and her relationship with her girlfriend. San Francisco has never looked more enticing — or funny — as our heroine navigates the ultimate lesbian obstacle course: dodging ex-girlfriends, resisting temptation to stray, horny meter maids, and dog-loving hippies. And the reason for all this drama? Her new girlfriend Casey (Jill Bennett, Dante’s Cove) is at a bar in the company of sexy European goddess Danielle (Cathy deBuono, Out at the Wedding), and Danielle is determined to seal the deal. Stalling for time while biking, running, hitching rides and flirting her way through the hilly streets and dyke destinations of San Francisco, Lola is on her way to reclaim her love — if only she can get there before the shirts come off! With an exhilarating climax and exciting pop/rock lesbian soundtrack, And Then Came Lola is the fun-filled lesbian rom-com of 2009!
